Who Benefits from FlagHi?

Professional Golfers

Professional Golfers

When FlagHi first launched in 2013 it was immediately adopted by pros on every tour and around the world. Why? Because pros play a new location every week. And even AM rounds can differ from PM rounds. Not every pro can afford a $10,000+ launch monitor, but all of them need to know if their iron will clear the hazard.

Golf Caddies

Caddies' jobs are difficult enough. If FlagHi can tell you that your pro's 8-iron is carrying 4 yards farther this afternoon, it could mean the difference between a win or a loss.

And FlagHi is great for resort caddies, too. Is a guest from Denver (5,280') playing Pinehurst (509')? You'll be a hero if you tell him what his new stock carry numbers are or the distance that a shot "plays" for him or her.

In golf, the "Home Course Advantage" involves not just course familiarity, but also trust in carry distances. Visiting teams can now calculate what their new distances will be even before they leave home. This further helps with decisions on which club(s) to bring or use for a given round.

Also: playing two rounds today? Generate one FlagHi report using AM conditions, and another with PM conditions.

All golfers can benefit from our insights.

One of the FlagHi guys was playing a member-guest in the Palm Springs area in January. Early. Shotgun start. Frost delay. Started on a 161-yard par-3 with a pin 3 paces on, protected by a front bunker. Absolutely had to clear that bunker - but not by much. Entered the conditions into FlagHi, which calculated that 161-yard shot as playing about 166. Instead of hammering an 8i, went instead with a smooth 7i. Knocked it to within 4 feet.

Knowing how the current conditions affect carry distances adds value in many ways:

  • Better club selection = better shots = better scores
  • Better shots = faster pace of play
  • Better scores = higher CSAT
  • Faster pace of play = more F&B sales or pro shop sales #FeelGood

  • "That shat measures 168, but for Daniel it plays 174 since he's used to playing in Spokane..."
